MONTREAL – The International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), which brings together over 100 securities regulators, has decided to incorporate eight new principles in to its Objectives and Principles of Securities Regulation, which provides the basis for its work. The new principles are based on the lessons learned from the recent financial crisis and subsequent changes in the regulatory environment, which are designed to strengthen the global regulatory system against future crises.
